They will pick us up between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. from our lodging to go to the districts of "Carmen Alto" and "Yanahuara" where we will observe wonderful landscapes of the city surrounded by the volcanoes " Chachani", "Misti" and "Pichu Pichu" ; its beautiful countryside formed by its still preserved pre-Inca andenería and of course the river Chili.
The district of Yanahuara is the next point in our tour, in the main square we have the church of the year 1750, with a baroque facade, but the highlights are the arches that frame beautiful prints of the city and where texts have been recorded with all the philosophy of life and inspiration of the Arequipa resident. Yanahuara is also a sample of the Colonial Arequipa, it has picturesque narrow and aged narrow streets and its houses made of ashlar.
We will return to the historic center to visit the "Monastery of Santa Catalina" , which is a sample of four centuries of Arequipa architecture, the small streets and cloisters full of colorful flowers and the walls painted in fresh dyes. Narrow alleys lead to the various parts of the convent that run through picturesque sites and living and sleeping places with the original furniture.
We will visit the main square, one of the most beautiful in Peru, the "Jesuit Church of the Company" , which on its beautiful facade announces the so-called mestizo architecture, its cloisters and dome, the house Tristán del Pozo.
Note: The dome is closed on Sundays
