We will start from the Plaza de Armas de la Serena at 7:30 AM (in front of the National Tourism Service of La Serena).
We will have breakfast on the way to fishing village Caleta Chañaral de Aceituno. On the way we will enjoy the scenery offered by the Atacama Desert, being able to observe Guanacos and Desert Foxes.
When we arrive at Caleta Chañaral (approximately at 11:00 AM) we will have an hour to relax, have a coffee and eat a snack.
Before starting the whale watching (), our guide will give us a brief briefing of the activity, explaining what kind of cetacean species we can observe during the trip, safety measures to have in the boat, a pattern of responsible observation and a little of history.
While we search for whales we will go through Chañaral Island to observe birds and different types of marine life.
At the end of the activity we will enjoy a lunch on the island prepared by local people.
We will begin our return to La Serena around 4:00 PM, where we will stop at an organic olive cultivation field where we will learn about the preparation of olive oil.
We will finish our adventure in La Serena arriving around 7:00 PM
