Pachacámac is one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the central coast of Peru, located in the Lurín Valley, 31 km from the city of Lima. The place was a settlement of pre-Inca cultures and also the Inca culture, which venerated Pachacamac, the creator of the world. Pachacámac was considered the most important deity of the Central Coast.
The tour begins with the pick-up of our travelers from their respective hotels in Lima, then on a trip through the districts of Barranco, Surco, Villa El Salvador until arriving at the Archaeological Complex of Pachacamac. Registration of visitors and then we make the guided tour walking through the archaeological complex, being more enriching in the longer time the tour can be known and appreciate more details of the Adobitos complex, the pyramids with ramp, the streets that unified the city sacred of Pachacámac, the Painted temple, the temple of the Sun and the Acllahuasi or house of the chosen women.
We will visit the Site Museum which exposes archaeological pieces found in different excavations, such as ceramics, textiles and the famous wooden idol which the ancient settlers venerated before the Inca civilization on the central coast and whose presence the idol was changed its name to that of Pachacámac.
At the end, we make a short break, ideal to charge energy with a snack or to make some purchases.
