The Rainbow Valley is located in the basin of the Rio Grande, at a distance of 90 kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama. Its name is due to the great variety of colors that can be observed in the hills of the valley. Earth colors, red, beige, green, white, yellow, among other colors that account for the great wealth of different concentrations of clays, and mineral salts. Very close to the Valley there are also the petroglyphs of Yerbas Buenas, in this place they crossed the caravans of natives who traveled from the Argentine northeast to the Bolivian altiplano.
We will leave from your lodging around 8:00 - 8:30 AM towards our first stop in Yerbas Buenas, historical sector that has petroglyphs of the indigenous caravans of yesteryear from Argentina and Bolivia.
