It is said that Tipon is a royal garden commissioned by Wiracocha. It is one of the most elaborate examples of agricultural terraces created by the Incas. They stretch through the narrow valley and are irrigated by an aqueduct from Pachatusan, the mountain above the site. There are also other structures in Tipon, which include bathrooms, a complex of temples, canals and aqueducts. Tipon is definitely one of the least visited sites in the Cusco area, but just as impressive as those in the Sacred Valley. The Archaeological Complex of Tipón is located 24 km southeast of Cusco.
Pikillacta is the only pre-Inca site in the Cusco area. This adobe complex was built around 700 to 900 years AD by the Huari culture, in the area, there is a small Inca site a few steps from Pikillacta, known as Rumicolca, a travel checkpoint for the Incas.
Here is the "Sistine Chapel of Peru", a church that houses gold altars, paintings and many colored roofs. The chapel is simple and unpretentious on the outside, but inside you will find masterpieces. You can also see some paintings of the famous "Cusqueña School".
On the way back we will pass through Saylla, a typical town, where people can enjoy delicious pork rinds or roast pork (optional).
